The Human Hand Project grants creators permission to use the Human Hand certification mark on work that is originated or created without the use of large language model generative technology.
The Human Hand certification mark will help consumers identify and make an informed choice between creative work that is the result of direct human input and material that is machine generated .
It will help creators maintain economically viable careers.
It will help publishers market creative works more effectively.
Like internationally recognized symbols for safety hazards, the Human Hand mark will help protect humanity against the existential challenges that are inherent in machine generated content.

Registration is free. Only an email address and mobile phone number are required.
Once 1,000 registrations have been accumulated, the Human Hand accreditation process will become operational and members will be able to apply for their works to be certified. The application process and the accompanying application forms will go live.
Works origninated or created without the use of generative software programs will qualify for Human Hand status. Criteria for certification of all types of works will be published on this site. Authentication of “personhood” and compliance with genre-specific criteria will be required. Each application will include an actionable legal declaration signed by the applicant attesting to the truthfulness and accuracy of the information submitted.
Human Hand status allows the work to display the Human Hand certification mark in a way that is visible or discernable but not intrusive. Once approved the successful applicant wil be entitled to download a “one-time use per work” version of the Human Hand mark to attach to their project.
Fraudulent or unauthorized use of the Human Hand mark will be prosecuted as an infringement of certification mark law. Offenders names and offending works will be listed on this site.
All approved applications will be searchable by name, title and type of work.
The cost of each application will be .75% of the declared market value or production cost of the work (depending on its nature). There will be a minimum charge of $75 and a maximum of $1,500.
A Board of Advisors comprised of respected leaders across the creative, business and legal sectors of art, entertainment and cultural industries will oversee the procedures, controls, governance and effectiveness of the Human Hand Project.
